About John Bond
Aloha visitor!
Please check out my new Portfolio pages, which I’m currently still working on and adding to…
My background is in computers and multimedia design and production work. I have run two successful high-tech companies- one which produced six internationally best selling compact disc titles- when CD-ROM drives first came out in the early 1990’s…. and the other one which has produced hundreds of local artist fine art editions as well as hundreds of internationally best selling poster art editions.
I’ve been a very early adopter of new desktop and computer software technologies in the media field- I was a PhotoShop user BEFORE it was owned by Adobe and called PhotoShop. I was using 3D desktop publishing and 3D animation software back in 1986 with a program called “West End Film,” which worked on the AT&T Bell Labs developed TrueVision system.
Hard to believe maybe, but full 24 bit, 1024 x 768 color was available on desktop PC’s (not Mac’s even) in 1985, and I was setting up these systems in Hawaii for architects, TV stations and the US Military in Honolulu. I also set up the first Nikon and Barneyscan desktop 35mm scanners in Hawaii (Anyone remember the Barneyscan?).
All that exposure to “The Future” of desktop Multimedia production helped give me a good head-start into what would be coming next- so that’s what I tried to do whenever possible.
That doesn’t mean I’m an EXPERT or WIZARD in anything- especially not today, when desktop technology has expanded and multiplied in every direction! But, having gotten an early start still gives me some pretty good perspective and judgement in technology applications. It’s just POSSIBLE that Perspective and Good Judgement might actually be making a Come Back today!
We’ll see…
